The terrain is for the most part sand-covered, with rock outcrops, and to the west includes a number of dunes and bays. The best time to visit is in the spring when the flowers are in bloom. Rainfall occurs mainly during the winter months, but strong winds can be expected at any time of the year. Location: West Coast: north-west of Vredenburg. Access: From Vredenburg take the road westwards to Paternoster; continue on this road for a further 3 km to the reserve. Accommodation: There is a camping and caravan site with 65 stands ad basic ablution facilities. Other facilities: Fishing and diving for crayfish and abalone (perlemoen) are permitted; walking; picnic sites for day visitors. Open: Throughout the year. Opening time: Sunrise to sunset. |
